• Two great whale watching trips today 22 July. We have a few whales still travelling North and a lot of them already coming back down South, so there’s whale traffic in both directions which makes for excellent viewing. Here’s our favourite shots of the day including one that looks suspiciously like a whale feeding. We’ve seen this in the past and we’re not so sure if the researchers are correct when they assume that whales don’t feed at all during migration. They might be opportunistic feeders who can’t resist a yummy little school of baitfish cruising past. As an added bonus, we saw a rare Leatherback Turtle and some big pods of dolphins today.
